Play Day ~ November 23, 2008

On November 23, 2008 we had a unscheduled Play Day, Test & Tune. We were to meet on the ice of Big Lake at the track on Sunday for pre-registration, test & tune and playing.

It was a great day to see all of last years riders again.

We also were looking forward to meeting the new Riders of the Season.

It was snowing a bit when we first got there and the snow plow had already gotten most of the track cleared by then.

It had been a light dry blowing kinda snow so the ice was slick and dry, just perfect and the temperatures had risen to about 20 degrees.

The snow did not stop the riders from playing.

Once it cleared up it stayed that way.

This year the Alaska Ice Racers started looking to start a new class of racers.

We are looking for side x sides!

On November 23rd we also invited interested riders to come play for the day. We have had a few riders there on two different play dates. Their pictures can be seen by clicking the link below.
